Ambassadors – the Heart of
the Chamber
The Ambassador Club was organized in 1961 under the name Six Shooter
Committee. As official chamber representatives, Ambassadors conduct
ground breakings and ribbon cuttings, serve as greeters at Chamber
Mixers and other special events, and participate in membership
drives and retention programs. For their participation in these
events, Ambassadors receive a certain number of points. An Ambassador
of the Year is chosen by the members and is honored at
the Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration.
The HACC staff and board of directors salute this highly motivated,
dedicated and dynamic group of individuals for coming together as a
team to promote Harlingen and its business community. You are all
truly appreciated!

Ambassador
of the Year
Ruthie Ewers, Interim President of the Harlingen Area Chamber of
Commerce and Gene Mc Cullough, Past Chairman of the Chamber, presents Victor Leal, center, with the 2007 Ambassador of the Year Award.
Each year the Ambassador of the Year
is chosen by its members and is awarded to the individual who demonstrates
a strong commitment to the goals of the committee and the Chamber.
Victor Leal currently owns Cybernation "The Computer Guy".
He has been an Ambassador with the Chamber for the past thress years
and currently serves as Second Vice Chair for the Ambassador Committee.
He has been instrumental in the continued optimism and growth of
the Chamber Ambassador group and is a dedicated Chamber volunteer. |
