Event Services
If you're planning a meeting or event in Harlingen, you need to
assemble a good team of competent professionals to ensure its
success. Start by calling the Harlingen Chamber Convention and
Visitors Bureau (CVB), the tourism arm of the Harlingen Area Chamber
of Commerce. Our experienced staff would be happy to meet with your
committee members individually or as a group to discuss your
specific needs. Our ideas can really make your event come alive,
with free advice on everything from how to get here to what to see
after your meeting is over.
In addition, we'd be happy to act as your liaison with Harlingen
area professionals who specialize in meeting services, from hotels
and attractions to caterers, graphic designers, and tour companies.
We can put you in touch with companies who can handle printing of
promotional materials, or provide temporary personnel for your
registration desk. We can contact member airlines and rental car
agencies to facilitate group discounts, and much, much more. Below
is just a sampling of ways our expertise and invaluable contacts can
ensure the success of your event.
Liaison
While you are still in the early stages of planning your event, the
CVB can act as your liaison with hotels, meeting facilities,
restaurants, and other professionals to solicit the hard facts and
figures you need to make decisions.
Site Inspection
We will be happy to arrange site inspections of local hotels, public
buildings, or private meeting facilities, as well as visits to major
attractions and points of interest in the Harlingen area.
Tours and Special Activities
The CVB can assist with ideas and contacts for planning spouse programs,
sample itineraries or pre- and post-conference tours.
Click here to request a group tour manual.
Transportation
We can contact member airlines and rental car agencies to facilitate
group discounts, or arrange shuttle service for special events.
Attendance Promotion
We can provide you with brochures describing the many attractions
and recreational activities your delegates can enjoy in the
Harlingen area, and photos to use in your promotional materials.
Promotion and Publicity
We can put you in touch with companies who can market your event,
from printing promotional materials to arranging media interviews
with your convention speakers or guests.
Itineraries
We've put together itineraries to suit a wide range of interests and
